Dale Murphy belongs in the (Dad) Hall of Fame
Dale Murphy’s Hall of Fame candidacy is on its last legs, and as such, his kids are putting on a full court press to get their dad enshrined.
Is he deserving? Well, for about 4-6 years he was undoubtedly one of the best players in the game, but overall I don’t think his numbers quite get there. That said, if he gets elected, I won’t complain.
Murphy, however, was well-known for being more than just an All-Star centerfielder, and this lump-in-the-throat cartoon from his artist son proves it.
